Christmas is often a difficult time of year for those we support.  The picture-perfect family celebrations portrayed in the media, are a far cry from most of our Christmases.  But they are a painful reminder to many of our beneficiaries of how dysfunctional, deprived and disenfranchised their life experiences have been. Sadly, it is likely that this winter will be even more challenging for many of them; there are still increasing anxieties around COVID and with household bills rising it is going to be difficult to make ends meet let alone to afford a turkey dinner.
We always try to brighten our beneficiaries’ Christmases – making sure that they have presents to unwrap and festive food to enjoy. We will also host a celebration for those who come to our group activities (although it is not yet clear whether this will be online or in-person). For our Christmas Campaign this year we also want to raise enough money to put together food parcels and other practical help for everyone we support who is struggling because of the increasing costs this winter. We want to ensure that no one we care for has to choose between staying warm, staying safe and having enough to eat.
Many of the ways we used to raise money for our Christmas appeals are still not open to us because of COVID. We have put together these suggestions of ways that you can help us to show Jesus’ love to our beneficiaries through this difficult season.

2022 Calendars

The winning entries from our Photography Competition have been compiled into a 2022 Calendar which we are selling as part of our Christmas Campaign.  There are some truly inspiring images of the natural world, each paired with a fitting Bible verse.  Whether you’re looking for Christmas presents for friends or for something to keep you organised for next year why not buy one?
