Week of Prayer: Tuesday Gardening Project

Week of Prayer: Tuesday Gardening Project

October 2, 2018 Anne Bell 0

This week we are holding our JCM Week of Prayer. Could you spare a few minutes to pray for us today?

Tuesday's focus for prayer is our Gardening Project

Give thanks for the provision of the new Green Meadow Garden site in Weoley Castle.  Our new home is an old community allotment so already has a lot of gardening infrastructure (e.g. a polytunnel, shed, raised beds).  However it doesn’t have access to water or any other mains services.  Please pray that we will be able to meet these practical needs and get mains water and sewage on site before the next growing season starts.

In spite of not having running water on site and having had one of the hottest summers on record our Garden is flourishing!  We have had a respectable crop from nearly everything that we have grown and we have made really good progress in sorting the whole site out.  We have been able to build relationships with local people and organisations and have recruited a good number of new volunteers to help us run the Project.  Best of all our beneficiaries who have been coming along are really enjoying the Garden and all the benefits that Horticultural Therapy brings!  Praise God for all of these blessings!

Thank You For Supporting Us By Your Prayers
