Week of Prayer: Wednesday Cooking & Craft Classes

October 2, 2019 Anne Bell 0

This week we are holding our JCM Week of Prayer. Could you spare a few minutes to pray for us today?

Wednesday's focus for prayer is our Cooking and Craft Classes

Cooking

Learning how to cook is a life skill that many of the people we support missed out on.  We are trying to empower them to be able to make simple but tasty and healthy meals for themselves.  It has been fantastic to see our beneficiaries grow in confidence and to hear how they have tried to replicate meals at home.

  • Please pray that God will continue to bless these sessions; for safety (sharp knives and hot stoves), and that our beneficiaries will use their new knowledge to make healthier choices about what they eat.

Craft

We often run Craft Classes at the Green Meadow Garden (although in the winter we tend to migrate inside!).  Arts and crafts are very relaxing as well as being fun and a great way to express how you are feeling.

  • Please pray for additional volunteers to help run these sessions.  Linking the Crafts in to other creative activities at the Garden has been helpful but it is still difficult to find the time for them with everything else that needs to be done.

Thank You For Supporting Us By Your Prayers
