Week of Prayer: Friday
Thank you for joining us for our Week of Prayer. Our final day with a theme is today, we’ll be focusing our prayers on our Fundraising and Administration work.
“Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labour in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.” – Psalm 127 v 1
There are a multitude of jobs that need to be done to keep even a small charity like JCM running. We are really grateful to Stephen Briggs for taking on our finances, and also to Phil Bell who is still looking after some of our admin. Even with this help, it can still be a challenge to find time for all of the necessary admin and fundraising work when we want to be putting our beneficiaries and their needs first. We are hoping to employ another member of staff from the autumn to help with some of this.
Although our focus on fundraising for our building project is currently on hold, we still need to fundraise to meet our ongoing running costs. God has always faithfully provided everything that we have needed; often through the generosity of His people but also through completely unexpected and surprising ways! We trust Him completely to look after us.
- Thanking God for being our faithful rock, Jehovah Jireh, the one who knows our every need even before we are aware of it. Please pray that He will continue to provide for everything we need to keep JCM running – and also to expand what we do so that we can support more vulnerable adults.
- For good and wise time management to get everything done that needs doing.
- For Stephen Briggs, Phil Bell and our trustees and other volunteers who help us with all the necessary “back-room” jobs.
Thank you so much for praying for us this week.
